Kelanawisata.id, Wonosobo – Enjoying food at a modern restaurant may have become a habit for many people. However, the sensation of eating directly from the pawon or traditional kitchen that is warm with the aroma of burning wood surely provides a far more memorable and different experience than usual. In Wonosobo, there is a small eatery that preserves the old-fashioned cooking methods and serves them just as they are. This eatery is Warung Enthok Bu Siti. Located right across from SMK Negeri 1 Kalikajar, this eatery is known as the best place to enjoy richly flavored enthok meat opor.
The uniqueness of Warung Bu Siti lies in the concept of eating directly in the pawon area. Visitors can watch the cooking process, which still entirely uses a wood-burning stove, complete with smoke plumes that bring the nostalgic atmosphere of a grandmother’s kitchen from childhood. Visitors are also welcome to take as much rice as they want, complete with green bird’s eye chili sambal and fresh cassava leaves.
At a price of Rp25,000 per serving, which includes duck opor, rice, lalapan (raw vegetables), sambal, and sweet tea, this stall has become a favorite among locals and tourists alike. It's not surprising that in a single day, Mrs. Siti can serve up to 40 ducks.
If Kelana's friends visit Wonosobo, don't forget to stop by Warung Enthok Bu Siti. Behind its kitchen, there is a warm, honest culinary experience full of stories.
