Kelanawisata.id, Wonosobo - The Wonosobo Government, through the Wonosobo Regency Tourism and Culture Office in collaboration with the Wonosobo Regency Civil Service Police Unit, accompanied by the Garung and Kejajar Subdistrict Governments, conducted monitoring, evaluation, and guidance activities for a number of glamping-based tourism accommodation businesses in the Wonosobo Regency tourism area on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

This activity is part of the implementation of supervisory and guidance duties and functions for tourism businesses to ensure that every business operator meets tourism business standards in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

In addition, this activity also aims to improve the quality of service to tourists while strengthening aspects of security, safety, comfort, and the suitability of available infrastructure.

According to the Acting Head of the Wonosobo Regency Tourism and Culture Office, M. Kristijadi, the glamping businesses targeted for monitoring and guidance include Glamping Dieng in Parikesit Village, Kejajar Subdistrict; Luxcamp by Horison in Parikesit Village, Kejajar Subdistrict; Afton Glamping in Sembungan Village, Kejajar Subdistrict; and Swiss Van Java Glamping in Mlandi Village, Garung Subdistrict.

He further explained that the Tourism Business Development and Supervision Team conducts inspections of various aspects, ranging from business licensing administration, the implementation of tourism business standards, the condition of facilities and infrastructure, business management systems, to visitor safety and security.

This monitoring also focuses on operators’ preparedness to handle extreme weather conditions, environmental cleanliness, and the maintenance of facilities used by tourists.

The Acting Head of the Tourism and Culture Office added that these monitoring and guidance activities are strategic steps taken by the local government to maintain the quality of tourism destinations and businesses in Wonosobo Regency.

“This monitoring and guidance is not merely a supervisory activity, but also a form of government support for business operators so that they can continue to improve service quality and meet established tourism business standards. We want to ensure that tourists visiting Wonosobo have a safe, comfortable, and memorable travel experience,” said Kristijadi.

Furthermore, Kristijadi emphasized that the safety and security of tourists are a top priority, particularly for glamping businesses located in highland areas with dynamic weather conditions.

“Business operators need to ensure that all facilities and infrastructure are in good condition, safe to use, and have sound risk mitigation procedures in place. This is important for maintaining tourist confidence while enhancing the competitiveness of Wonosobo’s tourism sector,” he added.

Based on the monitoring results, in general, all visited glamping businesses are operating and serving tourists well.

However, several areas still require improvement, particularly regarding administrative procedures, compliance with tourism industry standards, and strengthening visitor safety and security measures.

All checklist results and field findings have been directly communicated to each operator as material for evaluation and follow-up improvements.

Through a mechanism of continuous guidance, it is hoped that every business operator can promptly implement improvements in accordance with the recommendations provided.

As a follow-up, the Wonosobo Regency Tourism Business Development and Supervision Team will continue to increase the intensity of its supervision and guidance on a regular basis through coordination with relevant regional agencies.

This measure is being taken to encourage glamping business operators to consistently meet and implement tourism business standards in accordance with applicable regulations.

The Wonosobo Regency Government is committed to ensuring the operation of safe, comfortable, orderly, high-quality, and sustainable tourism businesses as part of efforts to enhance the region’s tourism competitiveness and provide protection and comfort for tourists visiting Wonosobo Regency.*
