Kelanawisata.id ‎Wonosobo – The Wonosobo Regency Government, through the Tourism and Culture Office, in collaboration with the Wonosobo Hot Air Balloon Community, is once again organizing the 2026 Wonosobo Hot Air Balloon Homecoming Festival, which will take place from March 22 to March 29, 2026, at 23 locations throughout Wonosobo Regency.

‎All activities at each location will begin at 6:00 AM, timed to coincide with the optimal window for hot air balloon flights while taking into account safety factors and morning weather conditions.‎

‎Fahmi Hidayat, Head of the Wonosobo Regency Tourism and Culture Office, stated that this festival is an annual community tradition that has become both a cultural identity of the region and a premier tourist attraction during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming season.

“The Hot Air Balloon Homecoming Festival is not just a spectacle, but a cultural heritage that we continue to preserve and maintain. All activities begin at 6:00 a.m., so we urge the public and travelers to arrive early to fully enjoy the hot air balloon flights,” he said.

‎According to him, holding the event at 23 locations also aims to distribute tourist visits more evenly, strengthen the participation of village communities, and boost the local economy during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period.
